The Why Behind Givhero’s Success

Givhero isn’t just an employee wellness app, it’s a platform and community that’s been intentionally thought through every step of the way. Here are the research-backed ways we help people and companies stay healthier and more productive (while doing it for a good cause!).


1. All generations connect with social causes

Have you ever felt amazing after contributing to a cause you care about? Well, there’s science behind that good feeling! Studies show that giving to a cause impacts your emotional and physical well-being, and the positive relationship between the two is suggested to be a key and universal aspect of human psychology. And it isn’t just one generation that gives - from Millennials to The Greatest Generation, people are consistently giving! This connection to social causes and giving, both from the employer and individual side is the backbone of Givhero, and what sets us apart from the rest of the wellness and reward platforms out there. Without this intrinsic motivation, people are less likely to invest in themselves and ultimately contribute to a positive and productive work environment.

Millennials are half of our current workforce and will make up 75% of it by 2025, and they are already advocating for work cultures that are in line with their priorities. While the Boomer generation prioritized stability and compensation, Millennials want a workplace that reflects their values and environment. That means an emphasis on tech, collaboration, flexibility, and corporate social purpose. So we created a user-friendly app (and reporting and rewards platform) that encompasses all of these factors while working with the employer to address their unique needs.
